October 15, 2004Not exactly the safest thing, but whatever. I want to put some seats into the back of my 96 Dodge Dakota. I was wondering if anyone even knew if that was legal? Now for the hard part, where do I go to get kick ass (yet water resistant) seats for back there?

October 15, 2004Corbeau or RCI......
Corbeau is top of the line IMO.
October 15, 2004Cool! So do I just bolt them down to the bottom of my bed and be done with it or do I have to take it to some sort of agency to get them approved or something for the State of California? And how the Hell do I put seatbelts onto them?
October 18, 2004Corbeau has bolt holes for seat belts, you just buy the belts at the parts store, or you might order them w/ the seats. RCI seats are racing seats that will accept a 5 point harness (very cool, lol)or regular lap belts.
I don't know if this is even legal, so I don't think you get them approved. I think you would need to have a roll bar or something over them. And I would think you could bolt them to the bed floor, or maybe a cross member running under the bed. Bolt them to the thickest thing you can find under the bed. Or bolt them to the bed floor near where the bed is bolted down.
