June 18, 2004OK guys and girls, due to the fact that my Tahoe is in the paint shop, I have been driving my explorer. But something just doesnt feel right on the suspension. I have fairly new tires, less than 2000 on some 235/75/15s. When I get at higher speeds, say 70+ my truck feels as if it were lightly swerving or swaying. I know I need balance and alignment, but then again I have always needed this but just recently had this problem. Any ideas, if not the balance and alignment, what it might be?
I also noticed while I was changing the trans pan gasket and filter that my rear pass. leaf springs are coated with tranny fluid, hence the new gasket, could this be causing this problem? If so how can I fix it? Do I need to remove springs?
