March 25, 2001Who knows how many watts you can run to 2 MTX 10" Thunder 4000 subs? I want to buy and amp and I don`t know how much to run to them.
March 26, 2001They handle 200 rms a piece, so ideally you want an amp that will push 400 x 1 rms, or a more. Too many watts wont hurt them as long as you are not causing them to distort.
What ohm are the subs? They come in 4, 8, and 12 ohm models, and what ones you have make a huge difference in the amp you can get.
Check out Autotek amps, great for the money, and will push their rated power cleanly. You can get them cheap at Woofers Etc.
