November 15, 2004I have a 1994 toyota pickup 3.0L V6 and I want to put a exhaust system on it. What would be a good cheap system to run with my truck?

November 16, 2004Cheap doesn't exactly belong in the same sentence with exhaust, especially when you are concerning quality. I would go with a Borla system for that truck. It will cost you a little more (not much) and will give you alot more performance and better sound, it will also last you longer because it will be made of better materials-therefore you will spend less in the long run because you won't be replacing cheap exhaust with more cheap exhaust in the near future.
My little step brother put a 40 series Flowmaster and a turndown on his Yota truck that has a 4 cyl in it with with like 1.5" pipe and it really doesn't sound all that bad. It doesn't sound like a gook pipe, but it also doesn't have the same tone my Dodge 360 has with my one chamber race series Flowmaster.
It is all personal preference on sound, but I would definately purchase a quality exhaust that won't rust out on you and will add performance, not just sound. The better name brands (Flowmaster, Borla, Downey) will give you this for a little sacrifice in price.
Good luck bud,
January 9, 2005check out your local muffler shop. I had duals put on with a 40 series flowmaster for around $300. Cat-back, flowmaster & 15"tips
January 19, 2007You got a muffler on that thing yet? Dang these postings are old--
May 1, 2007Just depends on how detailed, or how they get ran. Are they mandrell bent?
March 6, 2011I think Magnaflows are pretty reasonable and sound great!
