April 11, 2005The only thing I can think of that may be causing this problem is the door glass weather stipping, the 'outside' piece. The rain is probably getting inside the door by running down the outside of the glass. Since most doors have 'weep' holes on the bottom, the water's probably comming from there ........
April 12, 2005thanks, big frank. unfortunately, i recently replaced the beltline mouldind on the driver's side and it didn't seem to help. passenger side appears to be o.k.
April 12, 2005Well even with that done I still believe the problem to be with the doors. If it were the windshield, or something to do with the heater duct system, or sun roof, or whatever, then the middle of the carpeting, on either the driver side or passenger side, would be wet. You say it's only wet by the door sills and under them, and that the water gets in even if the vehicle isn't moving.... It's got to be something with the doors ........ Maybe the water's running down the roof gutters and getting in through the door seal at the windshield pillars ......
