May 13, 2005For those of you who think I drove the hell out of the Tacoma, then why did Toyota buy it back and then ship it to Japan to study the metal and its apparent deterioration. The frame began to crystalize. does that sound like abuse. It's gone and I just bought a 2000 Tundra with towing package and all thats needed for trailer brakes. this Toyota was undercoated and certainly feels put together.
For GenMoparLee I wish you could have seen the frame the metal was like peanut brittle. The explanation that made the most sense was slag in the metal when the frame was manufactured. I guess the engineer who tested the metal knew what he was talking about??
