August 31, 2006silverado parts should work fine, other than some attaching holes if the trim is held on with studded clips rather than glued on,some hole filling may be nessasary, body and chassis are practically identical.on your engeine therer is a flat machined pad on the front of the block stocking out like a ledge with id letters and numbers onit look in a motor brand manual and it should be able to identify it for the year range,or a hollander manual salvage yards use them .try lmctruck.com 1-800-541-8525 for a specific catalog 73-87 chevy they have quite a lot parts avalible!
August 31, 2006I also was wondering how are ppl putting cd players in the dash of the older trucks and do u have to get replacement wires or how would u go about the cd player?
September 1, 2006dont know to much about stereo's but i think there are people thyat advertise in hemings motor new's that take the older radio's tha just have am and put up to date gut's in them am,fm,cd ect.you might have to use a remote cd player and changer.unless you want to chop up your dashboard and i think there would be no way to make that look good!
